MissedAlpha is a financial analysis tool that allows users to calculate hypothetical investment returns and analyze stock price patterns. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Third-Party Services

MissedAlpha integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• TwelveData API - Provides real-time and historical market data, stock prices, and company profiles. Your search queries (stock symbols) are sent to TwelveData to retrieve financial data.
• Google Gemini AI - Powers the Pattern AI analysis feature. Stock price patterns and market data are sent to Google's AI service for pattern recognition and similarity analysis. No personal information is shared with this service.
• Supabase - Used as our database and caching layer to store market data, user accounts, and saved analyses. Your account information and saved data are securely stored using Supabase's infrastructure.
• Replit - Our application is hosted on Replit's cloud infrastructure. Replit may collect standard server logs including IP addresses and request metadata as part of its hosting services.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve our investment calculator and pattern analysis services
• To cache market data and reduce API calls for better performance
• To allow you to save and retrieve your analyses across sessions
• To authenticate your account and maintain session security

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide app functionality.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted password storage (bcrypt hashing), secure HTTPS connections, and JWT-based authentication tokens.

AI-Generated Content

The Pattern AI feature uses artificial intelligence to analyze stock price patterns and provide similarity comparisons. AI-generated analyses are for informational purposes only and should not be considered as financial advice. The accuracy of AI predictions is not guaranteed.
